Privacy Policy

How MyVisaJobs handles data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

MyVisaJobs (https://myvisajobs.co.uk) is an independent, free directory of UK Skilled Worker visa sponsors and related guidance. We are not affiliated with the UK Home Office. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@myvisajobs.co.uk.

What data we collect

  • Analytics data. We use privacy-friendly analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. This processes a truncated, anonymised record of your visit (page URL, referrer, approximate country, device type). It does not use advertising cookies and does not build a cross-site profile of you.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security and reliability. These are retained for a limited period and not used to identify you.
  • No accounts. We do not have user accounts, and we do not ask you to submit personal data to use the directory or tools.

Legal basis

We rely on legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to run privacy-friendly analytics and maintain security logs — a low-impact processing that you would reasonably expect from an informational website, with no advertising or profiling.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics is cookieless. Your browser may store standard functional preferences (such as a light/dark theme choice) locally on your device; this never leaves your browser.

Third parties

  • Vercel— hosting and analytics. See Vercel’s privacy notice for how they process request data.
  • Outbound links. We link to gov.uk, the partner job board Tarve, and other sites. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Because we operate no accounts and collect no directly-identifying data, in most cases we will hold nothing that identifies you individually.

Data sources

The sponsor directory is derived from the Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors, a public dataset. Company names and locations shown are public-register data, not personal data about individuals.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
